Eugenia Lynn Hyde, age 69, of Saint Pauls, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at Lower Capefear Hospice, Angel House in Whiteville.

She was born September 18, 1955 in Robeson County to the late, Edwin Eugene Purvis and Cleo Parker Purvis. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her daughter; Nicole Conner and step-father; Lester Smith.

Eugenia was a Registered Nurse and her passion was her work as a nurse, especially her work with Hospice. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, knitting, fishing and spending time with her grandchildren.

Eugenia is survived by her husband, Allen Hyde of the home, son; Nick Lane and Fiancée, Angela Davis of Lumberton, mother; Cleo Parker Smith of Orrum, step-daughter; Jennifer Chambers of Hope Mills, step-son; Allen Hyde, Jr. of Albany, NY, son-in-law; Carroll Connor of Lumberton; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, brothers; Rodney Smith and wife Ouida of Lumberton, and Gary Smith and wife, Cindy of Fort Mill, SC; special cousin; Cathy Britt of Lumberton.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 pm at Floyd Mortuary and Crematory, 809 E. 5th Street, Lumberton. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Floyd Mortuary and Crematory, 809 E. 5th Street, Lumberton.  Burial will be at Broadridge Baptist Church Cemetery, 949 N. Broadridge Rd, Orrum, NC following the service.
