Etta Mae Hunt Oxendine, age 83, of Fairmont, passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Duke Medical Center in Durham, NC. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015 at 3:00PM in Floyd Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Charles Cummings and Ricky Burnett officiating.. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, evening from 6-8pm at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont. She was born in Robeson County on March 16, 1932. She was preceded in death by her parents Willie F. Hunt and Daisy Mae Oxendine Hunt ; her husband, Elery Oxendine; her children, Vivian Carol Oxendine Hunt and Larry Dale Oxendine; four brothers, Gerald, Buddy, Johnny and Ervin Hunt; four sisters, Maggie Locklear, Annie Lee Oxendine, Joyce Hunt and Flora Jane Carter. She is survived by a son Terry Oxendine and wife Sandra of Fairmont; four daughters, Lori O. Freeman and husband Ronald of Lexington, NC, Vicky Lynn Oxendine and L.M. of Lumberton, Daisy Oxendine and husband Charles of Fairmont and Cherylene Hunt of Fairmont; one brother, Billy Hunt of Greensboro; one sister, Lois McCullough of Lumberton; thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
