Ethel G. Wilkerson, 87, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Floyd Memorial Cemetery, Fairmont with Rev. Jesse Yarbrough officiating.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 17, 2009 from 6-8pm at Floyd Funeral Services, Fairmont and other times at the home of John and Mary Wilkerson, 1125 Harrington Road, Fairmont.


Mrs. Wilkerson was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Pate and Mrs. Harriet Bridgman, her husband, Morgan J. Wilkerson, a son, Harvey Wilkerson, 4 brothers, Douglas, Thad, Hartford and Jack Bridgman, 2 sisters, Alethea Snipes and Catherine Bridgman.

Survivors; a son, John Wilkerson and wife, Mary of Fairmont, a sister, Hattie Mae Weaver of Wilmington, one granddaughter, Sharon Leonard and her husband, Barry; one grandson, Scott Wilkerson, great-granddaughters, Jessica and Alicia Leonard, great-grandsons, Daniel Leonard and Jonathan Wilkerson, all of Fairmont.
