Ethel Marjorie Hester Davis, 99, of Lumberton, NC died August 1, 2013 at her home. She was born in Bladen County on September 30, 1913 to Adrian Kingsberry Hester and Mary Elizabeth Rising Hester. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lindsay C. Davis; and her brother, Robert Hester. Mrs. Davis is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Fran Davis of Enterprise, AL; three daughters, Frances Deese of Rockingham; Julie Brisson of the home; and Nancy Hurst and son-in-law Tom Hurst of Kernersville; one sister, Thelma Kay of Bladenboro; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
