Mrs. Esther Hall Stone, age 104, passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021, at Wesley Pines Retirement Home in Lumberton, NC. Formerly of Rowland, NC, she was born January 7, 1917 in Robeson County to the late Dewey H. Hall and Janie Prevatte Hall.

Ms. Esther was a longtime member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Hamer, SC and served the church faithfully in many leadership roles. She was an amazing woman and loved by all who knew her.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Stone; her daughter, Doris Anne Stone Page; her granddaughter, Sharon Page McNeill; and three great-grandchildren, Buddy Williamson, Christina White, and Eric Arnette.

She leaves behind her son, C.H. Stone and wife Mary Ellen; her grandchildren, Joel Stone, Carla S. Krings (Tim), Angela P. Gross (Roger), Wanda P. Arnette (Ken), Steve Page, Cynthia P. Rogers (Robin), and Matt Page (Debbie); 10 great-grandchildren, 26 great-great grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild; and a special friend and family member, Bet Bethea.

The family wishes to thank the caregivers and staff of Wesley Pines, especially Latoya Floyd, for their kind and loving care. Also thank you to her church family for the love and support shown her through the years.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at 4:00 PM at Fairmont Cemetery, Hwy 130 in Fairmont, NC. Following the service, he family will receive friends at the graveside.
