Mrs. Esther O. Oxendine, age 55, of 2490 South Robeson Rd. Rowland passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Fair Point Freewill Baptist Church at 2:00PM. Burial will follow in Fair Point Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, March 3, 2014 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont and other times at the home. She was born January 28, 1959 in Robeson County. She was preceded in death by her parents, John D. and Mattie Hunt Oxendine. She is survived by her husband Arvin Oxendine of the home; one son, Billy Austin Oxendine of the home; one daughter, Jessica Danielle Oxendine of the home; four brothers, Sanford Oxendine of Fairmont, Samuel Oxendine of Pembroke, Cecil Hunt of Fayetteville and Robert Oxendine of Lumberton; four sisters, Flora Oxendine of Rowland, Evelyn Bilic of Rochelle, NY, Bernice Locklear of Fairmont and Evelynlene Chavis of Lumberton; one granddaughter, Kira Elizabeth Oxendine; a special nephew, Joseph Cummings; a special friend, Wendy Lowe.
