Ester Mae Locklear Deese, age 79, of Fairmont, NC died on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, NC. She was born on May 12, 1930 to James C. Locklear and Lonnie Strickland Locklear in Robeson County, NC. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Rev. Gary Deese and wife, Edwina of Orrum, NC, Rev. Timmy Deese and wife, Linda of Fairmont, NC and Sargeant Barry Deese and wife, Brenda of Fairmont, NC; one daughter-in-law, Betty Deese of Fairmont, NC; eight grandchildren, Gary Deese, Renada Deese, Tinnielle Fuqua, Angela Spry, Tammy Lowery, Kevin Deese, Timothy Deese and Roderick Deese and eleven great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at 2:00 PM at New Bethel Holiness Methodist Church in Rowland, NC with Rev. Jason Chandler, Rev. Gary Deese and Rev. Johnny Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in New Bethel Church Cemetery in Rowland.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 21, 2009 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services, 1549 Marion Stage Road in Fairmont.
