Mr. Erwin Thompson Williams, Jr., age 83, passed away Friday, August 14, 2015, at his home. He was born in Lumberton on February 17, 1932. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Sara W. Williams of the home; his son, Erwin T. Williams III and wife, Mary, of Raleigh; his daughter, Susan Williams Eldridge and husband, Mark, of Omaha, NE; two sisters: Lula Williams of Lumberton and Emily Bass of Conyers, GA; and five grandchildren. A time of visitation will take place on Sunday, August 16, 2015, from 4:00-6:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wesley Pines Retirement Center, 1000 Wesley Pines Road, Lumberton, NC 28358, or to Southeastern Hospice, 2002 N. Cedar Street, Lumberton, NC 28358.
