Ertle "Gabby" Speights, age 82, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016. He was born in Robeson County on July 27, 1934 to the late Walter & Helen Speights.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Hazel Horne Speights; a daughter, Brenda Denise Speights; and a grandson, Joshua Eugene Speights.

He is survived by 3 sons: Edward Arnold Speights of Lumberton, Terry Lynn Speights & wife Darlene of Lumberton, and Ertle Glenn Speights & special friend Cindy of the home; 1 daughter, Rebecca "Becky" Speights of the home; 1 brother, Ervin "Skinny" Speights of Lumberton; and 2 grandchildren: Krystin Nicole Wilt and Kaytline L. Wilt.

A time of visitation will take place on Saturday, August 20, 2016, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2016, at 3:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery.
