Emory McNeil Pittman, Sr., age 79, of Lumberton, NC Died on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville, NC.  He was born in Robeson County, NC on September 30, 1938 to the late Rowland and Dessie Bennette Pittman.  He was a retired farmer and worked at North Carolina Public Schools in maintenance.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Jean Pittman; a brother, James Worth Pittman; a son, Charlie Bennett Pittman; and a daughter-in-law, Karen Pittman.

Mr. Pittman is survived by his brothers, Rowland Hutchinson Pittman, Jr., Alfred Martin Pittman, Kenneth Warren Pittman, Jerry Wayne Pittman, and Murray Bennette Pittman; sisters, Margaret Ruth Pittman Stephens and Ella Louise Pittman Britt; children, Emory Jr., Ricky Timothy Pittman, Bobby Keith Pittman (Tina), and Kimberly Pittman Pietrolungo; and grandchildren Jamie Velazquez (Eric), Kristen Michelle Pittman, Sarah Elizabeth Pittman Britt (Ricky), Ashley Nichole Pittman, Taylor Nicole Pietrolungo; and great-grandchild, Jake.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 6:00-7:00 PM at Singletary Baptist Church.  The funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM at the church with Rev. Mitchell Nance officiating.
