Ms. Emma Hunt "Mammy" Oxendine, age 91, of Fairmont, NC went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 2, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on March 1, 1934 in Robeson County.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hudler Hunt and Naomi Brooks Hunt; her husband, Carson Oxendine; two sons, Henry "Bunker" Oxendine and Darnell "Chubby" Oxendine; a brother, George Hunt; three sisters, Geneva Clark, Myrtle Chavis and Betty Graham.

She leaves to cherish her memories; two sons, Eugene Oxendine (Mari) of Conway and Ray Carson Oxendine (Carolyn) of Fairmont; three daughters, Susan Locklear (Rudolph) of Rowland, Sue Sanderson (Michael) of Fairmont, and Betty Locklear (Glenn) of Lumberton; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren; a very special niece, Joann Hunt; special nephews, Jimmy and Jerry Hunt; special cousins, Ancil Jacobs and Treva Jones; and several other nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

A visitation will be held Sunday January 4, 2026 from 6:00-8:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont.

A Funeral Service will be held Monday January 5, 2026 at 2:00PM at Reedy Branch Baptist Church with Revs. Hilton Woodell and Chester Chavis officiating.

Burial will follow in Reedy Branch Baptist Church Cemetery.
