Mrs. Emma Blake Nye, age 96, of Lumberton, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Woodhaven Nursing Center in Lumberton. She was born on July 7, 1915 to the late James T. Blake and the late Camilla Brown Blake.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Wade Nye.

Mrs. Nye is survived by her daughter, Doris Powers Taylor of Lumberton; her grandchildren, Robert Barnes and wife, Sharyn of Lumberton, Rose Marie Courtney of Indian Trail, Jeff Barnes of Ocean Isle, Tony Taylor and wife, Lisa of Bladenboro, Jay Taylor and wife, Denise of Bladenboro, Mike Taylor and wife, Sandra of Bladenboro; six great-grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren.

A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 2:00PM at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton with Mr. Ertle Jones officiating.

A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.
