Miss Emma Willa Nance age 96 , of Fairmont passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton, N.C Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 14, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at Olivet United Methodist Church in Marietta with Rev. Dalma Cribb officiating. Burial will follow in the Olivet Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Sunday one hour prior to the service at the church (2:00 P.M.). She was born August 31, 1916 in Robeson County to the late Averette Wynn Nance, Sr. and Willa Maie Howell Nance. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Bertram Nance, F.D. (Red) Nance, Averette W. Nance, Jr; and Herbert Nance; two sisters, Vista Grace Rowe and Madeline Nance. Miss Nance was employed by Exxon Mobil Oil Co. from 1946-1976 until she retired. She was a lifelong member of the Beta Sigma Phi-XI ETA Club. While living and working with Exxon in Charlotte, she was a member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church on Dorachester Dr. before moving back to Fairmont in 1976. She is survived by one brother, Albert Nance and wife Mildred of Fairmont; several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Olivet United Methodist Church or Olivet Cemetery Fund P.O.
