Emily Cathaleen Calder, age 69, of Hamlet, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at First Health Moore Regional Hospital in Rockingham.  She was born in Wilmington, DE on January 4, 1950 to the late Calvin Elburn and the late Mary Harter.  She previously worked as a Nursing Assistant in the healthcare industry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Calder, Sr.

She is survived by her only daughter, Mary McCurdy (Alvie White) of Fairmont; her son-in-law, Shannon McCurdy of Fairmont; two sisters and two grandchildren, Emily McCurdy and Billy Ray McCurdy.
