Mr. Emerson Clark Simmons, age 65, of Fairmont, passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11:00 am at Lewis-Simmons Family cemetery Hwy. 904 Fairmont.

The visitation will follow the service at the graveside.

Mr. Simmons was born October 9, 1952 in Robeson County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ashley Simmons and Lois Andrews Simmons Johnson; his step-father, Harvey Johnson.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene Norton Simmons of the home; a son, Jamie Simmons and wife Jacque of Bronson, Fla.; a brother, John Simmons of Rowland; one sister, Zelma McGugan of Red Springs; and two grandchildren.
