Elsie Mae Musselwhite King, age 93, of St. Pauls, NC passed away at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton on Tuesday, November 3, 2015. She was born in Robeson County, NC on July 23, 1922 to the late Oscar Pickett and Sally Mae Roberts Musselwhite. She was a homemaker. She was also a lifelong member of Regan United Methodist Church She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hinton Mercer King; brothers, Craven Musselwhite, Wallace Musselwhite, Douglas Musselwhite; and sisters, Louise Mercer, Flora Canning, and Sarah Hart. Mrs. King is survived by sons, Hinton McCall King (Jan) of St. Pauls and William Oscar King of St. Pauls; daughters, Linda King of St. Pauls and Sheila Sellers (Oscar) of Hamlet; brother, O.P Musselwhite, Jr. (Pat) of Lumberton; sisters, Vada Dowless (Herbert) of Lumberton, and Carolyn West of Whispering Pines; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A time of visitation will be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Regan United Methodist Church with Rev. Gordan Caughill and Hinton McCall King, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Faith Cemetery.
