Mrs. Eloise Brumbles Herring, age 88, of 1123 Herring Rd. Orrum, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. A Graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in Floyd Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will follow the service at the cemetery. She was born September 24, 1924 in Robeson County. She graduated from Baker Sanitorium School of nursing. She was a registered nurse and nursing supervisor at Carteret General Hospital in Morehead City, N.C. for over 29 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Eula Jackson Brumbles and her husband, William Gary Herring. She is survived by two sons, Gary Wayne Herring of the home and Jeffrey Neal Herring (Marjanne) of Cary, N.C; two grandson, David Jeffrey Herring and James Anthony Herring both of Cary, N.C; two nieces, Lisa Coulter of Baltimore, MD. And Adrinda Kay Rice of Orrum.
