Mr. Ellis Jones, Jr. (80) of Rowland was born on August 17, 1940 to the late Mr. Ellis Jones and Mrs. Lona Oxendine Jones and departed from his earthly home on Sunday, April 4, 2021. He is preceded in death by his brothers Jimmy Jones and Wayne Jones.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years Mrs. Shirley L. Jones; two daughters: Robbie Sanderson (Jerry) of Pembroke and Denise Hamilton (Joseph) of Sanford. Two grandchildren: Dylan Hamilton of Raleigh and Morgan Sanderson of Pembroke. Two brothers: Wiley Jones (Elaine) of Thomasville and Ricky Jones (Chasidy) of Lumberton; three sisters: Mary Louise Sampson and Brenda Elk of Fairmont and Linda Huey (Marshall) of Pembroke and a host of relatives and friends.

He was a faithful member of Pleasant View Baptist Church in Fairmont. He had a passion for restoring his cars. His favorite past time was in his shop remodeling cars.

A Graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 11:00AM at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery 3968 NC Hwy. 130 West Rowland, NC
