Mary Ellen Usher Sessoms, 81 of Lumberton passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022. Ellen was born in Dillon County, SC on August 28, 1940 to the late Sam & Margaret Thompson Usher. Ellen served many years as a secretary for the Public Schools of Robeson County until retirement.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Sessoms, Jr., and her son, Lee Sessoms.

She is survived by her two sisters, Ann Tyndall and Terry Lane (Allen), both of Hamer, South Carolina.

A time of visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday, August 26, 2022, from 3:00-4:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton, NC, with a funeral service to follow at 4:00 PM. A private family burial will follow.
