Ellen Pittman McLean, 70, of Lumberton, died Thursday December 16, 2021, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Alfred Rowland Pittman and Miriam Hartley Pittman; a son, John P. McLean, Jr.; and a daughter, Julia Pittman McLean.

She is survived by her husband, John Purcell McLean of the home; a daughter, Miriam Hartley McLean of Lumberton; a brother, Alfred "Al" Rowland Pittman (Jan) of Florida; and two grandchildren, John Howard McLean and Julia Pendleton McLean.

A private service will be held at a later date.
