Mrs. Ellen Suggs Ivey, age 100, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. She was born in Dillon, SC on August 21, 1921, to the late George & Ella Mae Suggs. She loved listening to music and dancing and just living life to the fullest every minute.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Ivey; a son, Liveo Ivey; her brothers: Lester Suggs, Edward Suggs, and Hardy Suggs; and her sister, Sallie Ivey.

She is survived by her son, Donnie Bert Ivey and wife Brenda of Lumberton, NC; three daughters: Jean Ivey, Carolyn Freeman and husband Rudy, and Audrey "Candy" Warwick and husband Jerry, all of Lumberton, NC; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family will receive friends and loved ones prior to the service on Saturday, July 2, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel, 809 E. 5 ^th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Mike Bowen officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.
