Mrs. Ella Locklear Taylor, age 82, of Fairmont, NC, passed away Friday, July 17, 2020. She was born in Hoke County, NC on September 7, 1937 to the late Adam Locklear and the late Cora Lee Locklear.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Taylor, and four sisters and one brother.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Ray Locklear and James Leon Taylor, both of Lumberton, NC; two daughters, Ruby Taylor of Fairmont, NC and Deborah Taylor of Lumberton, NC; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Buddy Locklear of Greensboro, MD.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2020, at 12:00 PM at Faith Assembly of God in St. Pauls, NC with Rev. Roy Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton, NC.
