Ella Stephanna Ervin Taylor, age 88, of Lumberton, NC died Monday, October 15, 2012 at Woodhaven Nursing Center in Lumberton. She was born in Catawba County, NC on May 11, 1924 to the late Ed A. Ervin and the late Daisy McClendon Ervin. She formerly worked as a school teacher in the Green County School System.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by her husband, George S. Taylor of the home; a daughter, Donna T. Hayworth and husband David of Charlotte; and a grandchild, Taylor S. Hayworth.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Dr. David Elks and Rev. Joe Bounds officiating. Burial will be on Friday, October 19, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Maiden Cemetery in Maiden.

Visitation will follow the service on Thursday at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
