Elizabeth Hardin Walters, 91, of Florence, SC, formerly of Lumberton, NC, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC. She was born May 21, 1932 in Robeson County, NC to the late Howard and Geneva Hardin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Radcliffe Walters; two sons, Kevin Walters and Charles Walters; two daughters, Celeste Williams and Barbara Huggins; three brothers: Buddy Hardin, Russell Hardin, and Mitchell Hardin; and a sister, Rachel Jackson.

She is survived by a son, Ricky Walters (Pam) of Lumberton, NC; three daughters: Debra Walters Strickland (Bobby) of Florence, SC, Carolyn Messer (Ralph) of Florida, and Linda Thorndyke of Lumberton, NC; 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2023, at 3:00 PM at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, NC with Rev. David Hawes officiating. Visitation will take place at the cemetery after the services have concluded.
