Elizabeth Dale Prevatte, age 84, of Lumberton, NC died on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Cumberland Village Nursing Center in Fayetteville. She was born in Robeson County on June 26, 1932 to the late Curtis and Lela Miller Britt. She previously worked in manufacturing for Converse and Burlington Mills.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jake Truett Prevatte; two sisters: Linda Williams and Patricia Grave; and two brothers: R.C. Britt and Craven Britt.

Mrs. Prevatte is survived by her son, Carlton Truette Prevatte (Carolyn) of Lumberton; sisters: Annie Ruth Stone of Orrum, Joyce Ward of Lumberton, and Wanda Britt of Lumberton; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev Anthony Hardin and Rev. Wade Hall officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

A time of visitation will take place on Saturday, from 1:00-2:00 PM, prior to the service at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.
