Elizabeth "Lib"
Odum
Sep 18, 1948 — Mar 13, 2017
Elizabeth Odum, 68, a resident of Lumberton, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, March 13, 2017. She was born in Lumberton on September 18, 1948 to the late Wallace and Beatrice Johnson Odum.
Ms. Odum -- "Lib", as her friends called her -- was a talented seamstress and worked tirelessly to serve others until her body would no longer allow her to do so. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the mountains or the beach and the more the merrier, it seemed (as long as she had a book to hide behind).
Lib is survived by her daughter Kris, son Bobby, grandchildren Katelin, Thomas, and Rebecca as well as her great-grandson Caleb. Lib also is survived by two sisters Nancy Odum Smith, and Juanita Odum Pait, as well as two brothers Harold Odum and Clarence Odum. Her brother Gene Odum has already gone to be with the Lord. There are also other family members and friends too numerous to mention here…you know who you are.
Visitation with the family will be at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. on Thursday, March 16, 2017, from 7 to 9 PM.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017, at 3 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Rev. Darrell Floyd officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family and Lib have requested that you make donations to:
