On Monday, May 29, 2023, Elizabeth Stringer Allen received her wings peacefully in her sleep, at home surrounded by her family. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and loved the mountains of Tennessee.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Nelson Allen; her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon & Jeff Malpass; and her grandson, Drake Malpass.

A time of visitation will be held prior to the service on Saturday June, 3, 2023, from 1:00-2:00 PM, at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E.  5th Street in Lumberton, NC. Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.
