Elgie Gray Boone, age 66, of Nolanville, TX, formerly of Lumberton, NC died on Sunday, October 11, 2009 at the V. A. Hospital in Temple, TX. He was born March 8, 1943 to Benjamin Franklin Boone, Sr. and Jessie Mae Ward Boone in Robeson County, NC. He was a twenty-four year United States Army veteran having served in Viet Nam.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Manuela Boone and a brother, Benjamin Franklin Boone, Jr. Mr. Boone is survived by four nieces, Francine Munn and husband, Randy of Candler, NC, Lorraine Thompson and husband, Twinnion of Lumberton, NC, Melissa Serrano and husband, Phil from Prosperity, SC and Audrey Lewis and husband, Mike from Lumberton, NC.

Burial will be at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton, NC.
