Mr. Elbert Rogers, Jr., age 72, of Lumberton, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton.  He was born in Robeson County, NC on June 14, 1950 to the late Elbert Rogers, Sr. and the late Monnie Powers Rogers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Fisher.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Betty Rogers; three children, Theresa Ivey (Jeff) of Lumberton, Elbert Rogers, III (Amanda) of Holden Beach, NC and Tammy Rogers (Jr.) of Lumberton; two brothers, Roy Rogers (Sharon) of St. Pauls and Bruce Rogers (Pam) of Lumberton; two sisters, Melba Rogers of Lumberton and Carolyn Mitchell of Virginia and seven grandchildren, Ronald, Brandon, Cole, Christen, Adrian, Lily and Logan.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
