Edwin "Worth" Humphrey, age 76, husband of Mrs. Carlie Humphrey, passed away Friday, February 1, 2013 at his residence. He was born on October 29, 1936, the late Edwin J. Humphrey and the late Annie Paul Humphrey. He formerly served in the U.S. National Guard. He also formerly managed the A&P Grocery Store. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Douglas Humphrey and wife, Maria, of Lumberton, and Jamie Humphrey and wife, Robin, of Lumberton; one daughter, Penny H. Harden and husband, Dwayne, of Lumberton; one brother, Carl Humphrey and wife, Beth, of Mocksville, NC; one sister, Margie Spivey, of Lumberton; and seven grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Boys & Girls Club of Lumberton, 1310 N. Seneca Street, Lumberton, NC 28358.
