Edward Ronald "Ronnie" Stone, age 66, of Lumberton, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Highsmith-Rainey Hospital in Fayetteville. He was born May 2, 1951 in Robeson County to the late Edward Morris and Doralyn Simmons Stone. He attended the former Robeson County School in Allenton and graduated from Littlefield High School. He was later a medical clerk for the military, having served in the US Air Force and South Carolina National Guard.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Danny Morris Stone.

He is survived by his uncle Jimmy L. Simmons of Lumberton and his aunt, Carolyn Simmons Phillips (Tommy) of Lumberton.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at 11:00 AM at Gardens of Faith Cemetery with Rev. Larry Davis officiating.

Following the service, the family will receive friends at the graveside.
