Mr. Edward Bruce Leggette, age 89, of Raleigh and formerly of Fairmont passed away Friday, December 20, 2013 in Raleigh. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 23, 2013 at Floyd Funeral Services Chapel at 2PM with Rev. Jesse Yarbrough officiating. Burial will follow in Floyd Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, December 23, 2013 from 1:00PM until 2:00 PM (one hour prior to service) at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont. Mr. Leggette was born December 29, 1923 in Robeson County. He served in the US Marines. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oswell Leggette and Annie Byrd Leggette; and his wife, Margaret Potter Leggette. He is survived by three sons, Wyman Leggette and wife Kathy of Holly Springs, NC Len Leggette and wife Donna of Greensboro, NC, and Andy Leggette and wife Velvet of Garner, NC; two daughters, Mary Bruce Jernigan and husband Frank of Fairmont, NC and Avis Hicks of Fairmont, NC; one brother, Bill Leggette of Laurinburg, NC; one sister, Doris Vietrich of Highlands, NC; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
