Edna Earl Lamb Hayes, age 86, died on Monday, November 23, 2009 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC. She was born on April 24, 1924 in Robeson County, NC to Condary Lamb and Katherine Ivey Lamb. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Jennings Hayes, Sr. and a daughter, Katherine Edwards.

Mrs. Hayes is survived by two sons, Martin Jennings Hayes, Jr. and wife, Anne and Gerald Hayes and wife, Jean of Lumberton, NC; a brother, Ray Lamb of Lumberton, NC; four grandchildren, Jenny Hayes, Joseph Hayes, Colie Hayes and Amanda Tyner and one great-grandson, Stephen Hayes.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
