Edna Joyce Cox Townsend, age 66, of Lumberton, NC died on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumber.  She was born in Robeson County on July 17, 1952 to the late Hall James Cox and the late Edna Earl Bullard Cox.  She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, James Albert Cox.

Mrs. Townsend is survived by her husband, Ronnie Townsend of the home; and sons, Kelly Townsend and James Ronnie Townsend, Jr. both of Lumberton; and three, grandchildren, Peter Conner Townsend, Amber Michelle Townsend, and April Leeanne Smith.

A private service will be held at a later date.
