Mrs. Edith Rowland Baxley, age 75, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020, at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. She was born in Robeson County, NC on December 27, 1944 to the late John Lester Rowland and the late Melba Lee Lamb Rowland. She was employed as a nursing assistant for many years.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher Baxley; her son, Frankie Baxley; and one brother, Charles Rowland.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathy A. Baxley and Sherry B. Edwards, both of Lumberton, NC; four grandchildren: Benji Edwards (Kelsey), Alana Baxley, Sydni Baxley, and Christopher Dial; and her beloved dog, Buddy; and a special friend, Amy L. Cummings.

A private graveside service will be held at New Hollywood Cemetery in Lumberton, NC with Rev. George Connor officiating.
