Mrs. Edella Faye Atkinson, age 85, of Lumberton, NC, passed away Friday, July 21, 2023, at her home. She was born in Columbus County, NC on June 16, 1938, to the late Seth & Naomi Hinson Cartret.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Atkinson; her brother, R.V. Cartret; and her sister, Edna Lewis.

She is survived by her sons, Keith Atkinson (Crystal) and Reggie Atkinson (Loraine); 4 grandchildren: Joseph Atkinson (Brooklyn), Matthew Atkinson (Morgan), Cody Atkinson, Abigail Atkinson; 3 great-grandchildren: Wyatt Atkinson, Braxton Atkinson, and Bryson Atkinson; and her sisters, Pat Worley and Carol Davis.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, NC with Rev. David Kelly officiating.
