Mr. Eddie Lynn Johnson, age 74, of Fairmont, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Duke Medical Center on Sunday, April 21, 2019.

Mr. Johnson was born August 9, 1944 in Marion, S.C. He was a farmer and a member of the Fairmont Masonic Lodge for over 3o years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and granddaddy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie Johnson and Mabel Bass Johnson; three sisters: Gwendolyn, Martha, and Emily Ann;  and an infant daughter.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancy Leggett Johnson of the home; one son, Eddie Johnson and wife Cathy of Fairmont, N.C.; a daughter, Jennifer Blackard and husband Sonnie of Lake View, S.C.; along with six grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2019, from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont.
