Dwight Franklin Smith, 64, of Lumberton, NC, died on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. He was born in Robeson County, NC on December 16, 1956.

He was preceded in death by his father, Curley Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Smith of Winder, GA; his mother, Naomi Lee of Lumberton, NC; two sons, Dwight Smith, Jr. of Oklahoma and Samuel Smith of Winder, GA; one stepson, Danny Morgan and wife Monica of Winder, GA; four brothers: Anthony Smith of Laurinburg, NC, Paul Smith and wife Pam of Baltimore, MD, Don Smith of Lumberton, NC and Ricky Smith of Lumberton, NC; four sisters: Clair Smith, Drew Hardin, and Delilah Chavis, all of Laurinburg, NC, and Kim Lowery and husband Jake of Fairmont, NC; three grandchildren: Dwight Smith III, Lily Smith, and Lakota Smith; and two step-grandchildren, Britney Taylor and Ashley Meador.

Due to COVID-19 precautions, funeral services will be held at a later date.
