Dwight Douglas Baxley, age 65, of Lumberton, NC died on Saturday, May 28, 2011 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. He was born in Robeson County, NC on November 28, 1945 to David Fulton and Ima Bass Baxley, Sr. He was a United States Army Veteran, having served in Vietnam. He worked as a screener with TSA Homeland Security.

Mr. Baxley is survived by his wife, Sally P. Baxley of Lumberton, NC and two brothers, David F. Baxley and wife Merle of Monroe, NC and William M. Baxley and wife Delores of Laurinburg, NC.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Godwin Heights Baptist Church with Rev. David Holloway and Rev. Don Malpass officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.

Visitation will be on Monday evening, May 30, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
