Maurice "Dwayne" Lewis, 62, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 19, 2017. He was born April 28, 1955 in Robeson County to Maurice Winfred Lewis and the late Merline Smith Lewis.

Dwayne loved being surrounded by friends and family, cooking, NASCAR, and most importantly, singing and playing music with his lifelong friends. He was full of life and his infectious laughter will be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his mother and his infant sister.

Dwayne is survived by his father Maurice, of Lumberton; two daughters: Elizabeth Lewis Wilcox and husband Chuck of Lumberton, Allissa Lewis Wilmoth, whom he proudly called "the little one", and husband Josh of Rural Hall; two granddaughters: Taylor Jane Meares and Willow Grace Wilmoth; a brother Jerry Dewitt Lewis and wife Donna; and a special friend who he called his brother, Keith Warwick.

A time of visitation will take place on Thursday, September 21, 2017, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.
