Duane Hunter, 53, of St. Pauls, NC died on Monday, February 4, 2013 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was born in Syracuse, NY on May 17, 1959 to the late George Hunter and the late Natalie Haney Hunter. He served in the United States Army for twenty years and eleven years in Law Enforcement with the Lumberton Police Department. He is survived by his wife, Cathy Hunter of the home; sons, Richard and wife, Ashley, and Timothy; brothers, Dwight and wife, Christina and Daryl of Syracuse, NY; two nephews; and one grandchild, Serenity. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Rev. David G. Anderson officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 5:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
