Dru Paul Martin, 58, of Robeson County, NC, died on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Valley Hospice House in Fayetteville, NC following a period of extended illness.

He was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Martin, as well as his stepfather, Nicholas Garner.

He is survived by his mother, Bobbilynne Garner; his brother, Curt Garner; his aunts and uncles, Emily & Wendell Little of Tennessee and Sandra & William Barnes of Roxboro, NC; and his brother-in-Christ, Gaston Locklear.

Dru worked as a volunteer fireman, and as a dispatcher with the Robeson County Sherriff's Office for many years. In his spare time, Dru loved to be outside in nature and to go fishing. He loved animals of all kinds, and especially his dogs. He also loved to cook for his friends. Dru was also a history buff, and loved the Lord. He will be loved and missed by all those that knew him, including Randall and Ellie Rogers, his special grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service held on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont, NC. The family will receive friends in the cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to GHA Autism Supports, P.O. Box 2487, Albemarle, NC 28002, in memory of Dru Martin.
