Dovie Jackson Lamb, age 85, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at her home. She was born in Robeson County on August 5, 1930.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude & Gertrude Jackson; her husband, Eldon Lamb; and one sister, Louise Parnell.

Dovie is survived by 4 sons: Martin Lamb & wife Della, Mike Lamb & wife Lynette, Baker Lamb & wife Connie, and Dale Lamb & special friend Susie, all of Lumberton; one brother, James Jackson & wife Nellie of Dearborn, MI; 3 sisters-in-law: Margie Floyd of Lumberton, Marie Dean of Jonesboro, TN, and Gail Foster of Raleigh; 1 aunt, Sadie Phillips of Virginia; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

A time of visitation will take place on Thursday, January 14, 2016, from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2016, at 11:00 AM at Cedar Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Brust officiating. Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens.
