Douglas Britt, Sr., 66, of 237 Wynn Road, died Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at Southeastern
Hospice House. He was born to the late Tommy and Francis Tyler Britt on June 13, 1941 in
Robeson County.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Jean Carver Britt; 2 brothers, James and Curtis
Britt; 3 sisters, Coralee Price, Annie Neil Britt and Ruth Carter; and grandson, James Dustin
Lowery.
He is survived by his son, Douglas Britt, Jr. and wife, Diana of Lumberton; 2 daughters,
Crystal Lowery and special friend, Jason of Pembroke and Gloria Murdock and husband, Ron; 3
brothers, Robert Britt of Dillon, SC, Thomas Britt of Fairmont and William Britt of Lexington,
NC; 3 sisters, Christine Easter, Louise Richardson and Sadie Rae Britt all of Lumberton; 12
grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
The funeral service will be Sunday, February 17, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at First Pentecostal
Holiness Church.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 16, 2008 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Floyd
Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.
