Douglas Vance Davis, age 81, of Lumberton, NC, died on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, in Southeastern Regional Medical Center.

Douglas was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Henry Davis, and his mother, Helen Duval Davis; 3 brothers, Clarence "Mack" McCall Davis,  Henry Clay Davis and Johnny Davis; and a sister, Marian Newbill.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Elizabeth Davis; a son, Michael Davis and his wife Pattie Williams of Greenville, NC; a daughter, Michelle Johnson and her husband Keith of Fairmont, NC; 2 brothers, Fred Davis and his wife Debbie of Fredericksburg, VA and Jerry Davis, also of Virginia; a sister, Elizabeth Wyatt; 4 grandchildren: Brandt Elis, Jr., Danielle Puryear, Micheal Davis, Jr., and Jacy Wilson; and 3 great-grandchildren: Journey Puryear, Nova Puryear, and one on the way.
