Dorothy Jean Richter Wright, age 78, of Lumberton, NC passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County, NC on May 7, 1936 to the late William Mike Richter and the late Mary Lucille Whittington Richter. She previously worked as the Personnel Manager for Converse. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Capis Spencer Wright; and a sister, Louise Stallings. Mrs. Wright is survived by two sons, Alan Wright and wife, Diana, and Gregory Wright and wife, Mary all of Lumberton; daughters, Pamela Wright of Lumberton, Andrea Pinner and husband, Brady of Greenville, and Jennifer Connor and husband, Jody of Proctorville; brother, Fred Richter and wife, Linda of Grays Creek; nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 1:00 PM at New Hollywood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00-5:00 PM on Sunday, following the service at 1097 Kinlaw Road in Lumberton.
