Ms. Dorothy Locklear, age 76 of 100 Dexter Drive Fairmont passed away Saturday January 11, 2014 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday January 15, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Fair Point Baptist Church with Revs. Steve Strickland and Kenneth Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in Fair Point Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Floyd Funeral Services in Fairmont. She was born September 14, 1937 in Robeson County to the late Bill Jacobs and Bessie Carter Jacobs. She is survived by three sons, Timmy (Diane) Locklear of Fuquay-Varina, Mark Locklear of Lumberton, James and friend Korey of Fairmont; four daughters, JoAnn (Waylis) Rogers of Lumberton, Peggy (Ron) Tyree of Fairmont, Cathy Locklear and friend Dale of Little Washington NC, Mechell Chambers and friend Frank of Alabama, fifteen grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
