Dorothy "Dot" Walters Cashwell, age 82, of Lumberton, died suddenly on Thursday, December 13, 2018.

Dot was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Walters and Bertha Walters, along with 9 siblings.

Dot is survived by her sons: the Rev. Jim Cashwell and wife Anna Cashwell of Charlotte, NC and Dr. John Cashwell and wife Mary Ammons Cashwell of Concord, NC; eight grandchildren: Joshua Cashwell and wife Ashley, Elizabeth Tillery and husband Andy, Jared Cashwell and wife Tessa, Erin Cashwell Wiggins and husband Bryan, Jacob Cashwell, Rachel Clark and husband Nolan, Rebekah Cashwell, and Emily Cashwell; two great-granddaughters: Olive Cashwell and Emerson Tillery; a great-grandson, Theo Cashwell; and three brothers: Allen Walters of Florence, SC, Wayne Walters and wife Patti of Newark, DE, and Steve Walters of Dillon, SC.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday, December 21, 2018, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc. in Lumberton.

Following the visitation, a graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM at Rowland Cemetery in Rowland.
