Dorothy Jacobs Britt, age 88, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. She was born September 23, 1929 in Robeson County to the late Mack C. Jacobs and the late Bessie B. Jacobs. She was a faithful member of East Lumberton Church of God for 27 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rev. Ertle Britt; two sons: Robert Britt and David Britt; two brothers: Dick Jacobs and Ronald Jacobs; and two sisters: Mabel Dow and Maxine Parnell.

She is survived by two sons: Keith Britt and wife Sandra of Lake City, SC and Kevin Britt of Lumberton; one daughter, Cathy Britt Meares and husband Thomas of Lumberton; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday, March 3, 2018, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel.

Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Keith Britt, Rev. Thomas Meares, and Rev. Bruce Brumfield officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.
