Dorothy Williams Baxley, 92, of 5701 Fayetteville Road, died Sunday, July 13, 2008 at Glen Flora. She was born to the late William and Wilma Hagens Williams on June 23, 1916 in Hoke County.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Baxley.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Grace Baxley of Raeford and Joyce Cain of Lumberton; 3 brothers, Jessie Williams of Thomasville, Willie Williams of Lumberton and Wright Williams of Lumberton; her sister, Blanche Barnes of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; 5 grandchildren, Timothy Cain, Billy Shawn Baxley, Melissa Ann Cain, Samantha Shaw and Donna Hester; and 1 great grandchild, Justine Chavis.
The funeral service will be Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 4:00 P.M. at Floyd Memorial Chapel with Revs. Tim Sellers and Jimmy Dale officiating.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 14, 2008 from 7 to 9 P.M. at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc.
